Delegate Steve Schuh has announced that he has received the endorsement of former Maryland Lieutenant Governor and Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele for Anne Arundel County Executive.

“Steve Schuh is a leader in the Republican Party who can help our Party grow as County Executive,” Steele said. “He has paid his dues for many years by helping to elect Republicans throughout the State by volunteering on campaigns, contributing to candidates and party organizations, and participating in clubs and events. He has served in elected office and been an effective, conservative voice in the Maryland General Assembly. That’s why I support Steve Schuh for County Executive.”

Steele served as lieutenant governor with Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. and as Chairman of the National Party. He also won the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate in 2006.

“Michael Steele is an important part of bringing back the Republican Party nationally, and he is a great example of how Republicans can make conservative principles work in government,” Schuh said. “I am proud to have his endorsement.”
