AACCASA To Hold “CASAblanca” Gala, Nov. 9 At Loews Annapolis

12201, CASAblanca Masquerade Event, Loew's, Rudy KelmAnne Arundel County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Inc. will present its 7th annual CASAblanca: An Evening of Flappers, Fedoras & Philanthropy gala, Saturday, Nov. 9, from 7 to 11 p.m., at Loews Annapolis Hotel (126 West St., Annapolis, MD 21401).

Approximately 300 guests are expected to attend this premiere, black-tie event celebrating AACCASA’s 16 years of service to abused and neglected children.

“We are delighted to offer this opportunity for the community to travel to the roaring twenties for an elegant evening of exquisite libations, scrumptious fare and lively entertainment in support of abused and neglected children,” said Rebecca Tingle, MA, executive director of Anne Arundel County CASA, Inc.

Guests will arrive to a cocktail hour featuring an open bar, butler-passed hors d’oeuvres and the music of world-class vocalist, Eric Arceneaux, who has been named one of Youtube.com‘s “Top 100 most popular musicians of all time.”

Upon entering the ballroom, guests will enjoy a plated dinner and dessert, live and silent auctions, various raffle drawings and dancing to music by The Doug Segree Band, winners of the 2013 The Capital Readers Choice Awards for Best Band for the fourth year in a row and Best Wedding Band.

The event also will pay tribute to the following groups and individual for their commitment and dedication to CASA over the years:

 

Anne Arundel Women Giving Together will receive the Community Leadership Award,

Alpaca International will receive the Corporate Commitment Award, and

Sally Larson of Annapolis will receive the CASA Caring Heart Award.

Event chair is AACCASA Board President Christopher D. Buck, Esq., a partner with Buck, Migdal & Myers, Chartered in Annapolis.

AACCASA hopes the event will raise $80,000 to provide more CASA volunteers to be voices for abused and neglected children in the foster care system. The organization currently serves 62 percent of Anne Arundel County children in foster care.
