Annapolis Resale Furniture & Finds Expands

| November 20, 2013, 03:11 PM | 0 Comments

annapolisresaleAnnapolis Mayor Joshua J. Cohen and Annapolis Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) President and CEO Lara Fritts are pleased to welcome Annapolis Resale Furniture and Finds to its new location.

Annapolis Resale Furniture and Finds is a distinctive furniture store that specializes in buying and selling an array of unique and vintage pieces as well as new items. Owner Hilly Hoyle showcases home furnishings that include desks, tables, paintings, glassware, sofas, lighting and accent pieces.

“This business is as unique as each individual piece in its shop,” Mayor Cohen said. “Ms. Hoyle’s success and growth her first year is an example of what can happen when local businesses cater to the needs of our community. It is certainty part of what makes Annapolis great and is part of our enduring appeal.”

The shop relocated to 17 Lincoln Court, from its 1825 George Street location.

“We were on George Street and ran out of space in our shop the first year,” said Hoyle. “My business partners, which includes my mom, and I are all Annapolis antique junkies and love a great pick.  The success of this type of work is creating the right balance of unique and affordable items with styles as distinctive as our customers.”

The hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The shop is closed on Sunday and Monday.

“I’m glad that Annapolis Resale Furniture and Finds, finds itself staying in Annapolis,” Lara Fritts said. “It is our goal to ensure that as local businesses grow, we help to keep these gems in our City and retain the high quality businesses that our residents demand.”

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Wednesday, November 13.
