Police Report From Pit Bull Bite In Severna Park Pasadena

This was just released from the Anne Arundel County Police Department:

On May 23, 2012, at approximately 8:18 p.m., officers from Eastern District responded to an address in the 200 block of Armstrong Lane in Severna Park Pasadena for a report of an aggressive animal.

Upon arrival, officers and Fire Department Personnel discovered a nine-year-old male suffering from an apparent bite wound to his lower leg. Fire personnel transported the child to Johns Hopkins with non-life threatening injuries. The investigation revealed that the child was on his bike near his mother visiting a neighbor when the neighbor’s Pit bull bit the child. The owner of the dog intervened and was able to get the animal away from the child. Animal Control responded and has taken custody of the dog. The owner of the dog has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
