Police have arrested a suspect in a murder in Laurel which was initially deemed a “suspicious death” last weekend. Police were called to a wooded area across from the Laurel Racetrack on November 28, 2010 for a reported injured subject who was found to be dead. The area was deep in the woods and frequented by homeless people. Police assigned the case to the homicide unit. From the police report:

During the course of investigation, Homicide Unit detectives developed a person of   interest in this case.  On December 3, 2010 at approx. 5:30 p.m., detectives located 45-year old Adalberto Rodriquez-Tolledo walking in the 8800 block of Gorman Road in Laurel where he was arrested on an unrelated open warrant.  Homicide Unit detectives then questioned Rodriquez-Tolledo, who implicated himself in the victim’s death.  The victim, 55-year old Flavio Garcia of San Pedro, Jicayan Oaxaca, Mexico had no fixed address.

Rodriquez-Tolledo, also of no fixed address, was charged with first degree murder and is being held at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center without bond.
