Creative Forces In Glass For Military

Limited to 12 participants. This free workshop for Veterans and Active Duty Military to learn the art of glass fusing and explore artistic expression in a safe and supportive environment. The workshop will be taught by U.S. Army veteran Clare Shepherd, who learned to process trauma through this art form. The Creative Forces Community Engagement Grant is part of the Creative Forces: NEA Military Healing Arts Network. This is an introduction to kiln formed glass, an amazing material with endless possibilities. You will learn how to cut glass to create a one-of-a-kind 6” fused glass dish or bowl. This class is suited for students of all skill levels. Beginners are welcome. Projects will be fired after the workshop and available for pick up the following week. Military ID required.
