Live Arts Maryland’s women’s ensemble opens the holiday season with its annual Christmas concert in the heart of Annapolis at St. Anne’s Church.
Conducted by Laurie J. Hays and accompanied by Carolene Winter, the program includes pieces by Benjamin Britten, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Z. Randall Stroope,
John Rutter, Michael Engelhardt and more. Guest musicians are Annapolis Chamber Orchestra member Kerry Willingham, oboe, and student percussionists from Annapolis High School.
The 15-member ensemble was founded in 2011 and has performed extensively throughout the region at concert venues and private events and with the Annapolis Chorale and Annapolis Chamber Orchestra.
Cantori will also be featured on the Annapolis Chorale’s upcoming Celebration of Christmas concert on Dec. 8, and the Sunday, Dec. 17, Messiah performance.
