Since 2019, the Alliance has brought communities in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, DC together by hosting the Wild & Scenic Film Festival in all four states on the same night. In the peak of winter, the Film Festival provides warmth, inspires action, and raises hope.
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival brings together incredible selections of films that inform, inspire, and ignite solutions and possibilities to restore the earth and human communities while creating a positive future for the next generation. Festival-goers can expect to see award-winning films about nature, community activism, adventure, conservation, water, energy and climate change, wildlife, environmental justice, agriculture, Native American, and indigenous cultures.
The Film Festival is a natural extension of the Alliance’s mission to bring together communities, companies, and conservationists to improve the lands and waters of the Chesapeake Bay watershed. After pivoting to a virtual Film Festival in 2021, we look forward to coming together virtually again in January 2022.
