Based on the hit movie, the Broadway production of MEAN GIRLS was a fiercely funny
musical from writer Tina Fey (“30 Rock”), director Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon),
composer Jeff Richmond (“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”), lyricist Nell Benjamin (Legally
Blonde), and producer Lorne Michaels (“Saturday Night Live”). The show follows Cady Heron
as she moves from an African savanna to a wild and vicious new land: suburban Illinois. When
she decides to infiltrate a notorious clique called The Plastics, Cady learns the hard (and
hilarious) way that being popular isn’t always pretty.
