Spring Author Series at the Rising Sun Inn, Crownsville

The Spring Author Series returns to the Rising Sun Inn. This year’s series will include both fiction and non-fiction authors. Join the Friends of the Rising Sun Inn for these very special programs. Authors Chris Formant and Susan Higginbotham both created fictionalized stories about real life events and people… hear about the Maryland 400 and the Battle of Brooklyn and Mary Todd Lincoln and her sister, Emily Todd Helm. John Beakes, military historian, returns to the Rising Sun Inn to present his fourth book in a series about Revolutionary War Generals. Hear the story of German-born and commander of Maryland Troops, Major General DeKalb.

Each event will include the lecture, Q & A, and book signing. Books will be available for purchase.

April 18th, 1:00 p.m., Susan Higginbotham, The First Lady and the Rebel 
May 16th, 1:00 p.m. John Beakes, DeKalb: One of the Revolutionary War’s Bravest Generals 

Admission for Friends of the Rising Sun Inn members is $12.00 or $30.00 for all three-lecture event. For non-members, admission is $15.00 for one or $40.00 for the three.
