Join Historic Annapolis and continue the celebration of the 50th anniversary of first lunar landing with a lecture and panel discussion. Dr. Valerie Neal, Curator Emerita for the National Air and Space Museum, will present a brief history of the Apollo program. Following the lecture, several experts, all Naval Academy graduates, will join Dr. Neal for an inspirational discussion. Former astronauts Dr. Kenneth Reightler and Captain Robert L. Curbeam, Jr., and current astronaut candidate U.S. Navy Lieutenant Kayla Barron will reveal how the Apollo missions influenced their careers, how training was different for each of them and how they are supporting the space program now.
