Green Drinks Annapolis: The Birds & The Bees

Join us to celebrate as Annapolis is officially designated a Maryland “Bird City” to compliment its existing certification as a “Bee City USA.”
Making communities healthier for birds and people is the Mission of the Bird City Maryland program. It is a way to formally recognize the steps that communities are taking more and more to understand that ecosystem health and human health are inextricably linked and to celebrate the innovative, community-building, and exciting ways we can enjoy and conserve our natural resources.
Bee City USA certification indicates that Annapolis has created sustainable habitats for native pollinators, which are vital to feeding the planet.
We will have live music by a very special young musician, Jack Shenk. Now 14 years old, Jack Shenk started busking at City Dock when he was 12. This winter he has become a regular feature indoors as well, playing Saturdays at the Annapolis Market House. His set includes recent hits from artists like Ed Sheeran and John Legend as well as soulfully-rendered covers of songs from the past 50 years.
Our hosts at the Annapolis Graduate Hotel are preparing surprises for our event including a special “The Birds & the Bees” green cocktail.
