Dr. Ruben Baler
Scientist on the Neurobiology of Drug Abuse & Addiction, National Institute of Drug Abuse
Dr. Baler is a top neuroscientist at the National Institute on Drug Abuse, where he writes and lectures about the neurobiology of drug abuse and addiction. He is an expert on drug abuse and addiction and helps parents break down the complicated science behind drug and substance misuse into information they can easily understand and learn from. Dr. Baler shares about brain development, risk behaviors, and the impact of substance misuse on the adolescent brain.
Andria Botzet, M.A., LAMFT
Family Therapist, Department of Psychiatry, University of Minnesota
Andria assists adolescents and families struggling with substance abuse and other addiction issues, as well as anxiety, depression, and other stressful life circumstances. Andria has also collaborated with multiple agencies as a subject matter expert on positive parenting and brief intervention techniques. She has 20+ years of experience working at the University of Minnesota’s Center for Adolescent Substance Abuse Research, conducting research studies on a variety of topics related to adolescent substance use.
