Designing Gardens Using the Color Wheel

Join Kerry Meyer from Proven Winners to learn about using color in the garden. Kerry will use the color wheel to look at different ways to combine color in containers and in-ground.

About Kerry:

Kerry lives and gardens in central Missouri on 10 acres, half of which is a rocky wooded hillside. She and her husband bought their house in 2005.  They, along with their daughter, now live mere miles from the small family farm where she grew up, near her hometown of around 300.  Both of her grandmothers and her mother loved flowers and passed this passion on to her and she plans on passing this on to her daughter.  She expects her garden to continue to grow as she has time to add to and improve existing beds.  Kerry has a BS in Horticulture from the University of Missouri and an MS in Horticultural Science with a minor in Plant Breeding from the University of Minnesota.  After graduation she lived for 5 years on the Central Coast of California where she worked for Ball FloraPlant as a plant breeder before returning to the Midwest.  She has worked for Proven Winners since 2002, where she works with plant tags, naming plants, answering gardening questions, organizing plants trials, intellectual property management, writing a monthly gardening newsletter among other things.
