Bowie Community Theater holding auditions for The Women of Lockerbie

Bowie Community Theatre announces auditions for The Women of Lockerbie, with performances in March 2019 at the Bowie Playhouse.

Audition dates: Monday, December 3, 7:00 – 9:30 pm; Tuesday, December 4; 7:00 – 9:30 pm.

Audition location: Kenhill Center, 2614 Kenhill Drive, Bowie, MD 20715.

Please be prepared to perform a 2-minute poem at auditions. There will also be cold readings from the script. Scottish accents are a requirement for 4 of the female roles, and will be require additional time with a dialect coach.
Casting for 5 WOMEN and 2 MEN. Women: MADELINE LIVINGSTON (age 48-50), housewife whose 20-year old son was killed in the Pan Am 103 crash over Lockerbie, Scotland. OLIVE ALLISON (age 60’s), woman from Lockerbie. Leader of the laundry project. WOMAN 1, WOMAN 2 (ages 48-50), middle-aged women from Lockerbie. HATTIE (age 60-70), a cleaning woman from Lockerbie. BILL LIVINGSTON (age 50), husband of Madeline and father of Adam. GEORGE JONES (age 50), American government representative in charge of the warehouse storing remains from Pan Am 103 crash. Parents and government representative can be of any race or ethnicity.
