Blackwater Distilling Tavern Grand Opening Party

We’re hosting our ‘(Tavern) Grand Opening Extravaganza’ on April 13th from 11am – 5pm. Bring your family, friends, neighbors and loved ones for a day of drinks, food, music, games and good times.

The fantastic bluegrass quartet, The High and Wides, will be performing outside near the patio and bar. Their 2018 debut album, “Lifted”, reached #10 on Billboard’s bluegrass chart and was called “quietly revolutionary” in No Depression and “stunning” in Bluegrass Today. Come welcome the Eastern Shore and nearby Chestertown, Maryland‘s own.

Blackwater Distilling is proud to partner with the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center (CBEC) in an effort to further programs that enhance education, sustainability and awareness of the Chesapeake Bay.

In April 2011, we began production at the distillery in Stevensville, Maryland. Close to our distilling anniversary eight years later, we opened the doors to our new Tavern at 405 Cleat Street, right down the road. Kent Island has been our home throughout it all. We want to thank you for your support over the years. The Blackwater Distilling team is excited to now have a gathering spot for the community, and visitors, right here on the Island. Come enjoy great food, fantastic cocktails and spirits, local beer and wine, and much more.
