First workshopped at Colonial Players in 2013, Ray Flynt has since published and performed his one-man retrospective on the remarkable life and achievements of one of America’s most illustrious and intriguing founding fathers in theaters along the East Coast. Familiar to many at Colonial Players for his years of community theater in the Annapolis area, Ray is excited to return this show to Annapolis!
Flynt wrote the play as if Franklin was addressing friends gathered for a visit in Franklin’s living room. “I imagined the audience visiting Franklin’s Philadelphia home to enjoy his wisdom and treasure his remarkable life as printer, inventor, philosopher and statesman. But I also wanted to ensure that a twenty-first century audience could appreciate the sensibilities of the 18th century.”
Show times: Thursday, June 28, Friday, June 29 and Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 8:00 p.m.; Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Audience members are asked to “pay what you can” (cash or check) at the door; open seating. Following each show, the audience is invited to stay and participate in a talk-back session with Ray Flynt.
