Change of seasons at Bonefish Grill at Annapolis Towne Centre
Paul and I stopped by for an early dinner at Bonefish Grill recently and noticed that the covered patio area was almost full and very festive. Happy Hour appears to be very popular at Towne Centre eateries in general and at Bonefish in particular. I’m a big fan of restaurants that celebrate the change of […]

David Finkelstein, owner of Bagels And.. .is very enthusiastic about accomplishing his goal of serving another area of the County. Review: Paul’s Homewood Cafe
As a last minute decision on a Saturday evening, we went to Paul’s Homewood Café for an early dinner. I knew we were taking a chance without reservations, but hoped at 5:30pm we could sneak in before the crowds. It worked out perfectly and we had an hour and a half to enjoy a table […]

Saucy Salamander Cafe: Worth The Hunt
From 1990 to 2007, I worked in the Anne Arundel County building complex on Riva Road, right across the street from the Saucy Salamander Cafe. At the time, it was one of the very few restaurants where there was enough time to enjoy lunch and get back to work within the allotted time. Couple that […]

Opening Day At Maggiano’s At The Annapolis Mall
County Executive Laura Neuman stood in front of this new restaurant with an enthusiastic group of Maggiano’s management and employees on hand, and cut a thick braid of pasta with a huge pair of scissors to signify the official grand opening! Maggiano’s, located at the Annapolis Mall has a beautiful exterior entrance with tan awnings […]

Bertucci’s: Try A Menucci!
For no particular reason, I usually don’t review chain restaurants here, but after several lunches at Bertucci’s Italian Restaurant, I wanted to recommend what we think is a great place to eat! In an effort to boost lunch business this summer, they offered specials and lunch deals that kept us coming in and now their […]

West End Grill: Something For Everyone
We chose to have dinner at the West End Grill the other night because our daughter Nikki has a connection. She and her Navy family are in the middle of moving from Pensacola to Norfolk by way of spending time with us in Annapolis this summer. They lived in Norfolk previously, and Nikki recently discovered […]

b.b.Bistro: Sitting Around The Kitchen Eating Fresh & Healthy Food
My friend Kathy and I had been to b.b. Bistro before, but both agreed that it had been far too long ago. So, we arranged to meet for lunch on a cool January afternoon. I arrived first, claimed a table and noticed how the sun was brightening and warming up the restaurant through the windows […]

Four Seasons Grille: A Welcome Addition To The Mall
At long last, Four Seasons Grille opened for business at the Westfield Annapolis Mall and Paul and I wanted to be there on the first day it was open to the public! This restaurant can be found at the former location of Austin Grill, on the Bestgate Road side of the Mall near Lord & […]

Harry Browne’s: Not Just For Tourists & Legislators
Paul and I decided to go to Harry Browne’s for lunch to celebrate a special event in our lives. We arrived around 1:30pm on a Friday afternoon. It was not crowded when we were shown to a table in the window that provided a direct view of the State House and the hubbub of State […]

Returning To Killarney House: Lunch On The Patio
As we drove up to the Killarney House, we couldn’t help but notice the beautifully landscaped property. There were very healthy huge hanging baskets and colorful flowering crepe myrtles. This was not our first visit to this restaurant, but it had been at least a year since we were last there. Because it was such […]

Vin 909: An Exceptional Treat In Eastport
On our first visit to Vin 909, the whirl of the ceiling fans maintained a nice breeze on a 100-degree day. It was brutal outside, so we didn’t even think about sitting in the lovely outdoor covered area. Although there are a limited number of tables in this establishment, additional seating is tucked away in […]

Top Favorites: Quick Picks To Try
There are so many restaurants to choose from in Annapolis! Paul and I are still making our way around by patronizing our favorites as well as trying new places. We always look for healthy options and moderate prices! Here are a few of my current top menu picks: Greene Turtle – This item is on […]

Paladar Latin Kitchen & Rum Bar: Taco Tuesday
Tuesday is my favorite day of the week! Why? Because it’s Taco Tuesday at Paladar Latin Kitchen and Rum Bar in Annapolis Towne Centre! Last week we went with our friends, Lee and Linda who have become very fond of Paladar in general, and Taco Tuesday, in particular. Lee is vegan and was interested when […]

The Back Porch At Ken’s Creative Kitchen
The planets and stars must have perfectly aligned for our recent visit to The Back Porch at Ken’s Creative Kitchen. This outdoor café is open from May 16 through October 14, Wednesdays through Sundays (closed Mondays and Tuesdays) for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is served from 8 – 11am and lunch is available from 11am […]

Lemongrass: A Novice Experience
With the incentive of a Living Social voucher, we went to Lemongrass at 167 West Street for the first time. It should be pointed out that Paul and I are not very familiar with Thai food, but wanted to finally visit a restaurant in the area of West Street that had been redeveloped to restaurants […]

Sin Fronteras Cafe: Fiesta On Forest Drive
In my opinion, there are a number of great choices for Mexican food in the general Parole area. For instance, we love the burrito bowl at Chipolte, an amazing combination of tastes for the mere cost of $6.37. Chevy’s delicious fish taco platter is highly recommended, and the newcomer, Plazuelas (located across the street from […]

Saladworks: It Works For Me
Several months ago, a new restaurant opened in the Annapolis Towne Centre at Parole called Saladworks. Just the name itself, is right up my alley, and from the first time we went, it has been a favorite! Bright orange, purple, and green walls decorate the space, along with a poster size picture of the franchise […]
