The Canines & Crosstreks Adoptable Pet of the Week

Welcome to this week’s Canines & Crosstreks. Today, we speak the lovely Cinnamon Zoey!!

Cinnamon Zoey (a silly name IMHO) almost did not make it online today. If there ever was a dog I was tempted to just slide under my jacket and leave–she is it!

Cinnamon Zoey is a small purebred Shih Tzu who thrives on being included! She’s 11 months old so she has outgrown that puppy stage and is likely to not get much bigger. She is a great walker on the leash, is housebroken and is very polite and curious. She loves people, cats, and other dogs and is always at the ready with a kiss for the humans! My last dog was a Shih Tzu so there may be some bias here (full disclosure) so she tempted me! Her coloring is very unusual–they are usually black, white, black and white, or what they call “red” which is more of a reddish brown. Cinnamon Zoey is much lighter and lab or golden-esque–or as Billy pointed out…like cinnamon! Doh!

Annapolis Subaru’s Share The Love event is in full swing and they will donate $250 for every new car sold to one of four national charities selected by Subaru or one Hometown Charity selected by Annapolis Subaru (This year they selected the Ulman House). But, the buyer gets to direct where the donation goes, and if they opt for the Hometown Charity, Annapolis Subaru will up the ante and contribute an additional $150. So if you are in the market for a car…

Lights on the Bay is rocking, rolling, and open nightly through January 2nd. Gates open at 6 pm, Monday through Thursday, and 5 pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. More information on Lights on the Bay is here!

There is an awful lot of community events and community giving happening this holiday season! Let’s all see what we can do to make it as good as possible for the animals at the SPCA and for young adult cancer patients at the Ullman House!

During our conversation, we spoke about a crash with a Subaru Impreza where the driver walked away with bruises and scrapes after being hit nearly head-on by an SUV. Here is that vehicle.
