On Sunday, October 1, 2023, Annapolis Police officers responded to the area of Greenbriar Lane and Pilot House Drive for a report of graffiti.
A witness said nine areas in the community had graffiti on them. They said that the destruction of property most likely occurred on September 30, 2023, after 10 p.m.
The graffiti was discovered by a community resident on the morning of October 1, 2023. The graffiti’s location was in the playground area in the community and the community’s entrance near Bywater Road. The graffiti included racial slurs, homophobic slurs, obscene drawings, and obscene language.
Police are investigating this as a hate crime and do not have a suspect, as the graffiti did not occur in areas with security cameras.
