Yesterday, August 12, 2022, just before 11:00 am, the Anne Arundel County Police were dispatched for a shooting in the 600 block of Kensington Avenue West in Severna Park. The caller advised that he had accidentally shot his wife while cleaning a gun.
The woman was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
However, shortly after, the Anne Arundel County police said they had arrested a suspect.
Officers are on the scene of a shooting in a residence located in the 600 block of Kensington Avenue, Severna Park. An adult female victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect is in custody.

In a follow-up tweet, the police said, “There is no further information at this time, and there is no threat to the community.”
