Man Killed at Crofton McDonald’s

UPDATE: From the Anne Arundel County Police:

On May 13, 2022, at approximately 4:45 a.m., officers responded for a report of gunshots fired at the McDonald’s restaurant located at 1130 Crain Highway South in Gambrills. Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased male with an apparent gunshot wound(s) to his body. A Forensic Investigator from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) and Homicide detectives responded. The victim was identified as Britrain Marcelus Gray, 23, of Odenton, and was working at the restaurant at the time of the shooting. Mr. Gray was transported to the OCME for an autopsy, where the cause and manner of death will be determined.
Preliminarily, information suggests this is a targeted incident, not a random act of violence and there is no ongoing threat to public safety. This is an active and fluid investigation where the Anne Arundel County Police are urging anyone with information to come forward by calling the Anne Arundel County Homicide Unit at 410-222-4731. This is a developing story. The Anne Arundel County Police are investigating the shooting death of a 23-year-old man in the Cofton McDonald’s Restaurant this morning.  Police have said it is being investigated as a homicide and believe it to be a targeted incident.

This is the 5th homicide in Anne Arundel County this year.
