Anne Arundel Chamber of Commerce sponsors wreath decorating contest

The Anne Arundel Chamber of Commerce is Keepin’ the Cheer Here this year by sponsoring a wreath decorating contest that will not only support local small businesses but raise funds for the  Anne Arundel County Food Bank. Fourteen local businesses are participating in the contest which will culminate with a display of all the wreaths at the Westfield Mall on December 14th and 15th.  The wreaths are currently on display at the participating businesses and can be seen on the Chamber’s web site or Facebook page.

The names of the fourteen local businesses, that have decorated and donated wreaths for the Inaugural Keepin’ the Cheer Here Contest are listed below. To raise funds for the Food Bank, there is an online raffle and tickets can be purchased for a chance to win your favorite wreath. A panel of judges will select several “best of class” wreaths during a Facebook Live event from the Westfield Mall at 5pm on December 15th.

The Chamber is also offering a social media contest with a prize of two round trip tickets from Southwest Airlines. To enter you must submit a selfie with a wreath to the Chamber’s Facebook page or by sharing the contest on social media using #keepinthecheerinaaco.

Chamber President, Mark Kleinschmidt, said, “The Keepin’ the Cheer Here” wreath decorating contest is a great way for our members to get  involved and create some much needed holiday cheer while at the same time supporting the outstanding work of the Food Bank”  Kleinschmidt went on to say, “All the wreaths that have been donated are awesome and we have already seen a great deal of interest on social media about the contest”.

You can view the wreaths on the Chamber’s web site or Facebook page. The raffle is open to the public and tickets are $10 for 1 ticket, $20 for 3 tickets and $40 for 6 tickets.
