Anne Arundel County Police investigating attempted murder-suicide in Crofton

The Anne Arundel County Police are now investigating an attempted murder-suicide this morning in Crofton that left a husband dead, and his wife in shock-trauma with non-life-threatening injuries.

On November 16, 2020 at approximately 8:30 a.m. Anne Arundel County Police officers responded for report of a possible shooting at a residence in the 1600 block of Carlyle Drive in Crofton.

Upon arrival officers located an adult female victim outside the residence suffering from a gunshot wound to her shoulder.  She advised officers she was shot by her husband.

The victim was transported by the Anne Arundel County Fire Department to the R. Adams Cowley Shock-Trauma Center in Baltimore for a non-life-threatening injury.

After securing the area, officers made entry into the residence and located the victim’s husband, deceased, from apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Detectives are continuing their investigation into this incident.
