If you have the opportunity to vote early, take it. Polls begin accepting ballots on October 26, 2020. Early voting locations are are open from 7am to. 8pm daily until November 2nd. In Anne Arundel County, generally you do not need to bring ID to vote if you have voted within the county in the past. If you choose to vote early, you can vote until November 2.

2: Mail-in Ballot

As the coronavirus continues to impact the nation, many voters are opting to mail their ballots in. Residents of Anne Arundel County have the opportunity to mail their ballot in before November 3, 2020. All mail-in ballots must be postmarked by 8:00pm on November 3, 2020. The deadline to request a mail in ballot is October 20, 2020.

3: Wear Personal Protective Equipment

For the safety of you and your neighbors, it is important to wear all of the necessary personal protective equipment gear that you have. Since many people will be touching the same products, it is suggested to wear gloves. Gloves and masks are recommended for each individual. Before and after casting your vote, make sure wash your hands and sanitize properly.

There are a few times throughout the day that precincts experience lighter traffic. To avoid standing in long lines, try casting your ballot during the mid-morning or mid-afternoon. Many individuals try to vote before work, during their lunch hour, or after work. By going in the middle of the work day, you will likely avoid longer lineups.
