Donation Day is coming on October 31

Save the date!  Before you celebrate Halloween, make sure you do some good for yourself and others in our community at Donation Day sponsored by the Parole Rotary.

This is a time and place to give away what you don’t need and get it to those who do. If you have been home organizing and have papers to shred, bring them! If you have books to donate, bring them! If you have extra diapers, bring them! If you have extra sweaters, bring them!

Sponsored by the Parole Rotary Club, Donation Day will be held on Saturday, October 31, from 9am to 12noon in the Books for International Goodwill parking lot at 451 Defense Highway.

Paper is being shredded for FREE by Shred Instead. They will recycle the paper after shredding.

Book donations are being given to Books for International Goodwill (B.I.G), a local non-profit that has shipped about 9 million books to help libraries and schools all over the world. Free will cash donation opportunity also available for the Parole Rotary Foundation.

Donated diapers are going to Tyler Heights Elementary School for distribution to families.

Donated sweaters, hoodies and coats are going to #justonesweater and will be distributed directly to the community through Heritage Baptist Church, Eastport United Methodist Church, Asbury United Methodist church, Feed Anne Arundel, and to residents at The Light House.

This is an opportunity for us to come together as a community to help those in our own community that are less fortunate!

Look through your home and see if you have some old things that become new for someone else.
