Alderman Paone calls for community meeting to discuss recent shootng, murder

Ward Two Alderman Fred Paone will host a Town Hall meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20 at First Baptist Church at 31 West Washington Street in Annapolis. The Town Hall is in response to a shooting that killed a man and wounded three others early Sunday morning.

Other elected officials and community leaders will include Mayor Gavin Buckley, Annapolis Police Chief Edward Jackson, the Caucus of African American Leaders, Anne Arundel County NAACP, United Black Clergy and others.

This will be a session to listen to the community and answer questions.

The public is invited to attend. The event is free. People are asked to practice all COVID-safe practices, including physical distancing of at least six feet and wearing a mask at all times. Hand sanitizer will be available.
