On March 15th at 6:23 p.m. the Annapolis Police Department received calls reporting shots fired and then a possible shooting victim in the unit block of Bens Dr.
Officers arrived and located an adult male shooting victim outside between two apartment buildings. He was pronounced dead at the scene. It is believed that the shooting occurred outside where the victim was found. There is no further information at this time.
Detectives are investigating this shooting. This is an active and fluid investigation and we urge anyone with information about this incident to contact detectives at 410-260-3439.
This is the first homicide in Annapolis this year and the first since new police Chief Edward Jackson took over the department in August 2019.
