Maryland Hall released a statement regarding cancellations and preparations. The Annapolis Opera has canceled their performances of Susannah, Ignite Annapolis has postponed their event, and Maryland Hall has postponed their ArtFest until June 6th.
Maryland Hall is carefully monitoring developments regarding the global spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). Our primary concern is the safety and wellness of our patrons, students, teaching artists and staff. We are taking guidance from our partners and the owners of our building, Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS), and working in tangent with the City of Annapolis, Anne Arundel County and State agencies. At this time, neither the State or Anne Arundel County have placed any restrictions on public gatherings and AACPS has no plans to close schools. We will follow AACPS’s closure policy for classes. Decisions on ticketed performances and free events are being made on a case by case basis. At this time, no building closures are planned.

Ignite Annapolis has decided to postpone their March 12 event in an abundance of caution.
Annapolis Opera has decided to cancel Susannah, originally scheduled for March 13 & 15. Learn more.
Out of an abundance of caution, Maryland Hall has made the decision to postpone its ArtFest Open House scheduled for Sunday, March 22. At this time, we believe it would be difficult for our patrons to experience the true spirit of this interactive, hands-on, family oriented event. Save the Date for Saturday, June 6, 2020 as ArtFest helps kick off Annapolis Arts Week.
All other events and performances are scheduled as planned.
Classes remain scheduled as planned.
Safety in our Building: While we continue best practices for facility cleanliness with routine daily cleanings, we are taking additional measures to keep all of our common areas disinfected and have added hand sanitizing stations throughout the building. We encourage everyone who enters our facility to use common sense practices to stay healthy, like frequent handwashing and covering coughs and sneezes, carrying a tissue to cough into, along with staying home if one feels or is ill.
