Annapolis Police make arrest in assault at local 7-Eleven

The Annapolis Police Department has arrested an Annapolis man in connection with an assault at a local 7-Eleven on March 9th.

Through investigation detectives identified a 44-year old Annapolis man as a suspect in this assault. He was arrested on March 17th and has been charged with first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment and three other related charges. He is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center without bond. The victim has serious, but not life threatening injuries, from this assault.

Police advise that the suspect maintains addresses both in Annapolis and Winston-Salem, NC; and that there are additional suspects but no arrests yet. Anyone with information about this assault is urged to contact detectives at 410-260-3439.

The Annapolis Police Department is investigating an assault outside of a local 7-Eleven store that sent a 56-year old man to the R. Adams Cowley Shock-Trauma Center in Baltimore.

On March 9, 2020 at 7:42PM, Annapolis Police responded to the 7-Eleven at the corner of Bay Ridge Road and Edgewood Road for an assault.

The adult male victim was outside the store when he was assaulted by unknown suspects. He had injuries to his head and abdomen and was transported to an area hospital by helicopter.

The victim is in critical, but stable, condition at the hospital.
