POSTPONED: Annapolis Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade scheduled for April 4th

On Saturday, April 4, 2020, the City of Annapolis, in partnership with The Annapolis Drum and Bugle Corp, will host the 6th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade and the African Diaspora Festival.

The Parade will kick off at 12 noon on West Street from Amos Garrett Boulevard, the route will continue down West Street, around Church Circle and down Main Street to City Dock. Annapolis Police will maintain road closures along West Street, Church Circle and Main Street during the parade.

A family-friendly (and free) African Diaspora Festival will begin at 1 p.m. at Susan Campbell Park at City Dock.  The event will include live performances and vendors. Vendors who sign up before March 10 will receive a 50 percent discount.

The world-famous Washington D.C-based Go-Go band, “Junkyard Band” will headline the festival.  Featured artist and bands to perform include Annapolis own TAO featuring Live Band, R.E.I.G.N., 4 The Road Band, Kevin Smith and New Unity Band, Ron-Shaye Clark and more.
