The Anne Arundel County Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened last night in the Revell Downs neighborhood just outside of Annapolis in what they say is a “transaction” gone wrong.
On February 10, 2020 at approximately 10:20 p.m., Anne Arundel County Police officers responded for a shooting in the 400 block of Ruffian Court in Annapolis.
Investigation revealed that an 18 year old male victim entered an unknown make white vehicle occupied by an unknown white male and unknown white female to conduct a transaction.
The male suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money from the victim. The victim and male suspect struggled over the handgun resulting in the victim being shot one time in the lower torso.
The male and female suspects then assaulted the victim with their hands and then fled in the vehicle. The victim was transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects or vehicle. Eastern District detectives are investigating an ask anyone with information to call 410-222-6145 or the Tip Line 410-222-4700.
