Annapolis Rotary’s Black Tie & Diamonds Gala to benefit Special Olympics, tickets available now

The Rotary Club of Annapolis has announced Special Olympics as the beneficiary of its annual fundraising gala in 2020.

The glittering event in honor of Special Olympics will be held March 7, 2020 from 6:00pm to 11:00pm at Graduate Annapolis Hotel, 126 West Street. Tickets for $150.00 are available online at

Come clad in your best formal attire or something slightly less formal. You’ll enjoy an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, surf and turf dinner, music by C&J Entertainment, dancing and decadent desserts. Peruse the extensive Silent Auction featuring trips, cruises, dinners, and more. There will also be a live auction with an exception piece of diamond jewelry from Zachary’s Jewelers.

The Rotary is proud to support Special Olympics, the largest sports organization for people with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics works to change the attitudes of those who underestimate the capabilities of people with intellectual disabilities. The Special Olympics mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports, providing opportunities for individuals to develop fitness, demonstrate courage, and experience joy with friends, family, and the community.

The Rotary Club of Annapolis was founded in 1921 and has a long history of community service. 2020 marks the 17th iteration of the Gala which raises funds for one community nonprofit each year. Past recipients have included Boys & Girls Club, Seeds for Success, Samaritan House, and the YWCA.
