The Bridges to the World International Film Festival is a statewide initiative in recognition of Maryland’s global reach and connections.

The films to be presented are “Stupid Young Heart” from Finland on Jan. 27, “Looking for a Boyfriend for My Wife” from Chile on Feb. 3, “Habibie & Ainun” from Indonesia on Feb 10, and “Cell Phone” from China Feb. 24.  The film for Mar. 2 is to be announced.

The films were selected and provided by the embassies to represent the country’s spirit and art of film making.  Each film will be introduced and followed by a discussion.  Films will be shown in English or with English subtitles.

The same films will be shown in California, Cumberland, Salisbury University, and Towson University.
