Early morning crash kills driver on B-W Parkway, sends two more2 to shock-trauma

Just before 3am on October 14th, the Anne Arundel County Fire Department (assisted by Howard County and Fort Meade fire departments), responded to Route 295 northbound in the area of Route 32 for a vehicle accident.

While they were responding, police arrived on location advised that two patients were trapped and that one possibly had fatal injuries. Firefighters arrived and located a two-vehicle accident involving an SUV and a sedan.

They were advised that the SUV struck the sedan from behind with the sedan overturning. Both the 19-year-old female driver and 25-year-old male passenger of the sedan were trapped until extricated by firefighters in about 10 minutes. The driver was declared deceased on the scene by paramedics and the passenger was transported by paramedics to Shock Trauma with critical, possibly life-threatening injuries.

The 19-year-old male driver of the SUV was also transported by paramedics to Shock Trauma with critical, possibly life-threatening injuries. The United States Park Police is investigating the accident.
