Baysox blast four homers in 7-4 win over Hartford

The Baysox bashed four home runs in the first two innings in a 7-3 win at Dunkin Donuts Park on Monday Night. Bowie went back to back twice in the first two innings of the victory.
In the opening frame, Mason McCoy singled and then scored as Ryan McKenna lifted a two-run home run to right-center field to put Bowie on top quickly. The next pitch delivered was walloped for a line drive shot into the Baysox bullpen in left field off the bat of Yusniel Diaz to make it 3-0 in the blink of an eye. It was the second time McKenna and Diaz have gone back to back in three days.
In the second inning, the Baysox repeated the feat. With two down in the frame, TJ Nichting hit a monstrous blast down the right field line out of the confines of Dunkin Donuts Park. The next man up, McCoy lifted his second home run of the season as Bowie went back to back for the second time in the game and third of the year.
The Baysox would not let the 5-0 lead slip away. Alex Wells got his sixth win of the season allowing two runs in the contest. Wells struck out a season high eight batters in the game. Cristian Alvarado and Zach Muckenhirn combined to close the game down.
Bowie looks to grab game two of the series with RHP Dean Kremer on the hill Tuesday, July 2nd at 7:05 p.m. Coverage begins 20-minutes prior on wnav.com, baysox.com and via the Tune-In App by searching Baysox.
