Police searching for shooter in Glen Burnie homicide

Anne Arundel County Police are on the scene that has left one person dead in Glen Burnie.

The scene in the 100 block of Virginia Lane is about a mile from three recent homicides; although police do not feel they are related.

Officers were dispatched shortly after 7am this morning for a shooting at 179 Virginia Lane with one victim who was deceased.

Police were initially looking for a white male in a Chevy Silverado.

The Special Operations Response Team gained access to a building in the Colonial Square Apartments at about 10:00am.

This is an active crime scene and police are requesting the public to stay away from the area.
