New restaurant moves into Crofton featuring poutine! Ashling Kitchen and Bar

Maryland natives Elise Letavish and Saeed Ashrafzadeh, owners of Ashling Market and Catering, are pleased to announce the opening of their first restaurant venture, Ashling Kitchen and Bar. Located at 1286 Route 3 South, Crofton, MD 21114 in the Route 3 Plaza, the grand opening is set for April 2, 2019 at 11:00 am.
This duo has been working in the food industry since 2016, catering for entertainment artists at various venues throughout Maryland. They have developed a reputation for superior hospitality, thoughtful attention to detail, and food which is diverse and familiar, with a sophisticated twist.
Ashling has teamed up with executive chef, Richard Sullivan, who has spent over 17 years in the culinary industry, to create a menu which brings unique and international flavors to accessible and familiar American cuisine. One of Ashling’s signature dishes, Poutine, comes in three crafted varieties. It was inspired by Elise’s prior experiences touring the world as tour manager for music artist and producer, Mac Miller. “When you’re on the road touring, it could be months before you’re back home, eating a good home-cooked meal. The crispy fries coated in gravy, with cheese curds on top was my go-to favorite”. Other standout offerings include fried chicken and waffles, grilled porterhouse pork chops, duck confit mac and cheese balls, and a unique offering of burgers. Ashling prides themselves in their diverse food offerings which include a fair selection of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free dishes.
Their experiences on the road and the “feeling of coming home” was the inspiration for not only the cuisine, but also the look and feel of Ashling Kitchen and Bar. The eclectic synergy of the urban-industrial, yet home rustic vibe, creates an environment which is inviting and interesting, with “backstage” elements to make the experience special.  However, the main star sitting center stage is the outstanding cuisine.
Ashling Kitchen and Bar will be offering lunch, dinner, happy hour, late night dining, and a private dining space for specials events.  Plans for brunch are coming soon. For more information and to view their menu, please visit www.AshlingCo.com
