About the Poultry Princess
Olivia Velthuis, a 15-year-old Anne Arundel County 4-Her and a native of Crownsville, has been in her local livestock club for five years. She has raised market hogs, turkeys, and chickens and hopes to have a market lamb at this year’s Anne Arundel County Fair. This past year, Olivia was named poultry princess at the Anne Arundel County Fair, where her animal projects and artwork also won awards. Olivia is a member of the 4-H Maryland State Council, where she aids her community by working on a team with the other members on the Public Issues Committee. Olivia has a brother and sister in 4H and her mother has worked for the United States Department of Agriculture for over 27 years.
