Sock burning at Annapolis Maritime Museum raised $65,000

Another Oyster Roast & Sock Burning is on the books! And once again this event was a roaring success complete with oyster shucking, music, sunshine, and of course sock burning.

On hand for the festivities were Governor Larry and First Lady Yumi Hogan, County Executive Steuart Pittman, and Mayor Gavin Buckley.

In the end, the fundraiser secured a total of $65,000.  This support will directly support the education programs at the Annapolis Maritime Museum and Park!

It should be noted that this was a Zero-Waste event that collected over 1,000 pounds that went to composting NOT to landfill– thanks to the support of Trammell Crow and CleanChoice Energy!
