Police raid Maryland Avenue apartment, Annapolis man hit with drug charges

On March 14, 2019 the Major Offenders Unit (MOU) concluded a three month investigation into CDS distribution occurring in the Edgewater/Annapolis area of Anne Arundel County. At 7:00 a.m., the MOU, with assistance from the Annapolis City Police Department, Anne Arundel County Police Opioid Task Force and DEA, executed a search warrant in the unit block of Maryland Avenue in Annapolis, Maryland. Located inside the residence were the following items:

  • Several bags containing suspected cocaine (454.04 grams – estimated street value $45,404.00)
  • Several tabs of paper suspected LSD (55.5 grams)
  • 247 Alprazolam pills (estimated street value $2470.00)
  • MDMA (2,106.33 grams – estimated street value $210,600.00)
  • 176 THC cartridges
  • U.S. Currency
  • Money Counter
  • CDS paraphernalia (bags, heat sealer, cutting agent, scales)

Detectives then responded to two storage units located in the Edgewater/Annapolis area and executed two additional search warrant owned by the suspect. Located in the storage units were the following:

  • safe containing a large amount of U.S. currency
  • Several bags containing MDMA (522.27 grams – estimated street value $52,000.00)
  • 587 Alprazolam pills (estimated street value $5870.00)

This investigation/project/initiative was made possible in part due to funds provided by the Governor’s Office of Crime Control and Prevention, which funds the Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network .
