Maryland Black Bears join Make March Matter Campaign

The Maryland Black Bears have officially partnered with Children’s National and joined the Make March Matter Campaign. The campaign helps children at Children’s National receive care no matter their health, insurance status, or ability to pay. Donations support the expertise, innovation, and care the children receive.

As part of the campaign, the Black Bears have designated their March 8th home game against the Northeast Generals as the “Children’s National Make March Matter Hockey Night.” A portion of the ticket sales from the game and half of the proceeds from the night’s Chuck-A-Puck throwing will be donated to the Make March Matter Campaign. There will also be a silent auction at the game for an authentic Maryland Black Bears goalie stick signed by the entire team. 100% of the proceeds from the auction will be donated to the campaign.

“The Maryland Black Bears are proud to partner with Children’s National and participate in their Make March Matter Campaign,” said Maryland Black Bears President Robyn Remick. “Many children and families throughout the Metro Area benefit directly from this campaign. Children’s National provides world-class care through state of the art equipment and lifesaving treatments. They made a difference in my life and so many others. We are very excited about the Make March Matter Hockey Night and look forward to teaming up with Children’s National again in the future.”

“We are grateful for the support of The Maryland Black Bears,” said Children’s Hospital Foundation Director, Tracy Jones.“Their participation is a testament to our community’s commitment to helping all children receive exceptional care.”
