Police investigating armed robbery make unrelated handgun arrest

On February 24, 2019 at approximately 7:45 p.m., Anne Arundel County Police officers responded for a report of an armed robbery McDonald’s located at 7960 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard.

Officers arrived in the area and observed and detained two individuals matching the description of the suspects. It was determined through investigation that these subjects were not involved in the robbery of the McDonald’s, however one of the subjects, identified as Antowan Banjoman Jr., was found to be in possession of a stolen semi-automatic handgun.

Banjoman was arrested and charged.  Officers were unable to locate the suspects involved in the robbery. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
