On February 22, 2019 an Anne Arundel County Police officer initiated a traffic stop on a 2001 Honda Accord. During the course of the stop, officers observed the odor of marijuana. A search of the vehicle revealed 63.55 grams of marijuana and a digital scale. Upon arrest, the driver of the vehicle, Joseph Morris 3rd, was found to be in possession of crack cocaine. The passenger was found to be in possession of 7.69 grams of cocaine and 12 Xanax bars. Detectives obtained a search warrant executed a search warrant at the subjects’ residence. The following was recovered as a result of the search warrant:

- Heroine/Fentanyl- 118.80 gr (est. street value $14,256.00)
- Xanax- 243 pills (est. street value ($1944.00)
- Crack- 29.06 gr (est. street value $2906.00)
- Bottle of Promethazine syrup
- Packaging materials, scale and cutting agents
- $13,924.00 US Currency
