Ryan Mountcastle tripled withone down to start the rally on a drive high off of the left-centerfield wall. He then scored on a sac-fly from Aderlin Rodriguez. The Baysox weren’t done for yet however. Yusniel Diaz doubled down the right field line, inside-outing the ball to right and then alluding the tag at second to keep the inning alive. And Hays quickly made it pay dividends. He hit a soaring home run to left-center off the roof of Erie Insurance Arena to put Bowie up for good 5-4.
Baysox starter Dillon Tate battled through 5 and 1/3rd innings to pickup his firt organizational win. It was an organizational first for reliever Zach Pop as well who picked up the save getting the final four outs of the game. Chris Lee did not allow a hit in 2 and 1/3rd scoreless frames.
