At 8:30 pm this evening an Annapolis Paramedic Unit was flagged down by a citizen reporting a house on fire with someone possibly trapped in the 900 block of Spa Road near the Annapolis public works department.
Crews arrived on location with heavy fire conditions. Crews made an initial attack on the fire and completed their primary search of the dwelling with no findings. Emergency crews quickly brought the fire under control in under 10 minutes. As of right now all occupants are accounted for.
Crews will remain on scene for an undetermined amount of time. The on duty Annapolis City Building inspector has been dispatched due to the unsafe condition of the structure. BGE is on location assisting with downed wires.
The cause of fire is under investigation. Red Cross has been notified to assist with displaced occupants. No reported injuries to emergency personnel or civilians at this time. Annapolis Fire Department received mutual aid assistance from Anne Arundel County, and the United States Naval District Fire Departments.
