5 students arrested after stabbing at Annapolis High School

StabbingOn November 8, 2017 at approximately 10:43 a.m., officers responded to Annapolis High School, located at 2700 Riva Road, for students involved in a fight. When officers arrived they located a 17 year old male student with what appeared to be superficial stab wounds to the arm, and back. That student was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released for the injury.

During the investigation, officers identified four juveniles that were believed to be involved in the fight. The suspect that is believed to have stabbed the victim was found to have a small pocket knife in his possession. All of the suspects, including the victim were arrested and charged on juvenile citations.

Suspects and charges:

  • 14-year old male from Annapolis | 2nd degree assault, affray, and disruption of school activities
  • 15-year old male from Annapolis (stabbing suspect) | 1st degree assault, reckless endangerment, possession of weapon with intent to injure, 2nd degree assault, affray, and disruption of school activities
  • 15-year old male from Annapolis | 2nd degree assault, affray, and disruption of school activities
  • 16-year old male from Annapolis | 2nd degree assault, affray, and disruption of school activities
  • 17-year old male from Annapolis (victim) | 2nd degree assault, affray, and disruption of school activities

The high school released a letter to parents stating that the fight was a result of a neighborhood dispute.
