Man sentenced to 10 years for robbing Annapolis flower vendor

Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney Wes Adams announced  that Khayyan Bryan Jones, 27, of Glen Burnie, was sentenced by Circuit Court Judge Mark W. Crooks to 10 years in prison for the robbery of an Annapolis flower stand.
“Khayyan Jones attempted to rob the victim of not just his possessions, but his livelihood,” said Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney Wes Adams.”This flower stand is a staple of the Annapolis community, and I am proud to serve justice on behalf of its owner.”
On September 14, 2016, Khayyan Jones attempted to steal flowers from an Annapolis flower stand located near West Street and Church Circle. When the flower stand owner confronted Jones, Jones punched the victim in the face and flipped over his flower table, causing damage to approximately $100 worth of flowers.

Jones pleaded guilty to robbery on July 13, 2017.
Mark W. Crooks presided over the case. Assistant State’s Attorney Glen Neubauer prosecuted the case on behalf of the citizens of Anne Arundel County.
