GiGi’s Playhouse to host fashion show modeled by local neighbors with Down Syndrome

GiGi’s Playhouse Annapolis, a local non-profit that provides free educational and therapeutic programs for children and adults with Down syndrome, is thrilled to announce “A Fashionable Afternoon – Celebrating the Upside of Down Syndrome”, an event on October 15, 2017 from 1-3:30 p.m. at the Historic Baldwin Hall in Millersville. The event will showcase the latest LuLaRoe fashion modeled by local individuals with Down syndrome.

“LuLaRoe is a wonderful supporter of the Down syndrome community, and GiGi’s Playhouse Annapolis is honored to work with them on this fun and fashionable event.” said Kim Eckert, president of GiGi’s Playhouse Annapolis, “We look forward to bringing the community together for this fun afternoon where models will experience the “model life” for a day with our community.”

The event will include light desserts, snacks, tea and lemonade to enjoy before and after the fashion show. Local LuLaRoe consultants will be onsite with inventory to sell should attendees want to purchase any items.

Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased here. The event is also in need of model sponsors and a media sponsor. Contact Kim Eckert at [email protected] for more information. 100% of event proceeds will benefit GiGi’s Playhouse Annapolis.

GiGi’s Playhouse Annapolis began forming early in 2016 after a group of local parents with children with Down syndrome knew formal and specialized programs specifically for individuals with Down syndrome were needed to ensure the most promising future for their children and other local individuals with Down syndrome.
