Shooting in Annapolis Gardens community

UPDATE 2 (12:24am 8/24/2017): From the Annapolis Police Department:

On August 23rd at 10:25 p.m. officers responded to the 1800 block of Bowman Drive for a report of a person down and bleeding outside a home.  Officers located an adult male who appeared to have injuries consistent with being shot.  The man was transported to an area hospital for treatment.  There is no further information at this time.   
Officers and Detectives are on scene investigating this incident.  This is an active and fluid investigation and we urge anyone with information about this incident to contact our detectives at 410-260-3439. You can also call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-877-7LOCKUP and submit an anonymous tip.  If your tip leads to an arrest or indictment you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.  

UPDATE 1 (11:15pm): From a witness on the scene, Anne Arundel County Police have been called in to assist as there is a large crowd. One patient was in cardiac arrest and was immediately transported to AAMC (less than 2 miles away) for treatment. Witnesses on the scene report that people were chasing the ambulance as it left the scene.

Annapolis Police are on the scene of a shooting in the 1800 block of  Bowman Court  in the Annapolis Gardens community just off West Street in the Parole section of the City.

A Medevac helicopter was dispatched to transport the single victim to Shock-Trauma in Baltimore.
